Kidz Choir
The Kidz Choir is for singers grades K-8 who love to sing and lift their voices in worship to God! Each week the singers will prepare for the children’s Mass by learning how to sing properly, learn skills to help them learn to read music, learn the songs and mass parts for Mass and learn what the words we sing mean and how they relate to our Christian faith. The Kidz Choir is under the direction of Kimberly Scoggin, with the help of other members of the OLMC Music Ministry.
Parents are asked to use the Flocknote sign up on their phone for reminders and announcements. This can be accessed from the OLMC Flocknote by adding children’s music ministry. If you are new to the OLMC Flocknote we can help you get this info at rehearsal.
The Kidz Choir uses Planning Center. We schedule the choir on here and attach all the music and mp3’s on to help them prepare. It also lets us know how many and who will be there to prepare for the best setup for sound and placement possible. There is a phone app available as well. Please accept the welcome email from us for this service.
Performance Schedule
The Kidz Choir commits to singing the Sunday of the week we have the 9:00am Children’s Mass, and 6:00pm Christmas Eve Mass.

The Rehearsal Commitment
The Kidz Choir commits to rehearsing on Thursday from 5:00-7:00pm in the Church. All singers are expected to be present at every rehearsal and liturgy unless they notify the director.
The Kidz Choir commits to rehearsing in the Church Thursday at the following times:
- Cherubim Choir (Grades K-2) 5:00–6:30pm
- Seraphim Choir (Grades 3 and up) 5:30-7:00pm
- Arch Angels (Advanced Choir) 5:30-7:00pm
All singers are expected to be present at every rehearsal and liturgy unless they notify the director.
Rehearsal will start Thu, Aug 29 with K-2 at 5:00 pm in the church and all other ages at 5:30-6:30 pm. Please have your forms printed and filled out in advance and bring to rehearsal that day.
If you have a K-2 student, please email kim@olmctempe.com with a scanned form and Qgiv payment as we only have slots for 20 of this age.
At 6:30 pm we will have a parent orientation for all new members and returning members who need help with Planning Center and Flocknote set up.
Registration
Taken before and upon the first week of rehearsal:
$25 tuition per student, per semester for non-stewardship households
$10 per student, per semester for stewardship households
