Assisted Listening Systems
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel has two options to assist our parishioners and guests who are hearing impaired. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our community can fully participate in the mass, regardless of hearing ability or language preference. These technologies are easy to use, affordable, and designed to make our services welcoming for all.
Auracast Assisted Listening System
What is Auracast?
Auracast is a cutting-edge Bluetooth technology that allows anyone to receive high-quality audio from our sound system directly to their own device—such as hearing aids, earbuds, or headphones. It’s like tuning into a private radio station for crystal-clear sound, wherever you sit in the sanctuary.
How does it help?
- Personalized listening: Adjust the volume and clarity to your preference.
- Discreet and easy: Use your own device or borrow a receiver from the church**.
- Multiple channels: Listen to the main service, translations, or other audio streams.
How to Access Auracast Audio:
- If you have a modern hearing aid, Bluetooth earbuds, or headphones that support Auracast, simply scan for available Auracast broadcasts with your smartphone.
- The church has a limited number of receivers to borrow, and we encourage you to purchase your own device.
