State of the Parish: 2025

by Fr. Robert Aliunzi  |  09/27/2025  |  Weekly Reflection

Dear friends,

I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your generosity as we come to the close of our reflections on Stewardship in this month of September. Thank you for sharing your time, your talent, and your treasure so faithfully with our parish. Know that your commitment not only strengthens our community but also helps us live out the mission Christ has entrusted to us through our parish.

As I begin my third year as your pastor, I remain grateful every day for the privilege of serving you. From the start, I have told you three things that drive my mission among you here, and these have not changed even today.

These are:

  1. I love you.
  2. I love you.
  3. I love you so, so much.

This past year has been filled with many blessings for our parish. Some of these include the following:

We have completed and officially opened our Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel. This has become the spiritual heartbeat of our parish since its official launch on April 21, 2025. We already have nearly five hundred registered adorers, apart from regular unregistered visitors who visit the Lord twenty-four hours a day, uninterrupted.

Implementation of our Campus Safety & Security has been accelerated since the recent unfortunate shootings in our country. New lighting, security cameras, and staff training have been done to ensure a safe environment for worship, learning, and community events.

Our School, the largest ministry of our parish, continues to flourish with a record 477 K–8 students and 62 preschoolers, under the leadership of Dr. Kelly Shewbridge, our principal, and Monica Ferrance, the preschool director, and their dedicated team.

We also have thriving Ministries – From Life Teen and EDGE to adult faith formation, choirs, liturgy volunteers, and outreach programs, our parish is alive and active. In the coming year, we are especially committed to building a strong Young Adult Ministry, providing opportunities for faith, fellowship, and service for the next generation of leaders in our Church.

As we look forward, we will continue to strengthen our ministries and expand mission opportunities for our parish community. Details of these are contained in the stewardship report, which is soon to be released. Please, take time to read this report for more information.

With God’s grace, and through your stewardship of time, talent, and treasure, we will continue building a vibrant, holy community where Christ is at the center so that all are led to heaven.
