Five First Saturdays

Add Sat, Aug 3 @ 8:00 AM

On  June 13, 1917, our Blessed Mother said…

“I promise salvation to those who embrace devotion to my Immaculate Heart; and these souls will be beloved of God like flowers arranged by me to adorn His throne.”

and

To save souls [from hell], God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.  If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.”

So, what if we told you that your prayer could bring about the salvation of your own soul, the salvation of other souls and peace in the world, and all it requires is 5 Saturday mornings. Would you be in?

Information

Please join the parish community for the 5 First Saturdays devotion to fulfill the Blessed Mother’s request of Catholics at Fatima. The Five First Saturdays devotion is simple and is done on the first Saturday of the month for 5 consecutive months.  The 5 First Saturdays devotion requires 1) Confession, 2) Holy Communion, 3) reciting the Rosary and 4) meditating for 15 minutes on one or more mysteries of the Rosary.  All of these are done with the intention of making reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

At Fatima, Portugal from May 13 to October 13, 1917, the Blessed Mother appeared to 3 children asking them to share a message with the world in order to bring about peace in the world. The Five First Saturdays devotion is one of the principal points of the Fatima message. It centers on the urgent need for mankind to offer reparation and expiate for the many injuries that the Immaculate Heart of Mary suffers from the hands of both impious and indifferent men.  In return, the Blessed Mother promises to those who complete this devotion, to assist them at the hour of death with all of the graces necessary for the salvation of their souls.  The fulfillment of this request for the Five First Saturdays devotion coupled with the consecration of Russia to Mary’s Immaculate Heart is what will bring about the triumph of Her Immaculate Heart and peace in the world.

As a parish, we will do the Five First Saturdays devotion on the first Saturdays of Aug - Dec
